Our Honduras Coffee is a wonderful part of our single origin collection with this flavour profile:
- Aroma: Bright and Fruity
- Acidity: Soft
- Body: Medium
- Flavour: Citrus and fruity with a clean aftertaste.
This Honduras coffee is produced using a washed process also known as “WetProcess”. This means ripe cherries are de-pulped to remove the outer skin, then fermented in tanks for up to 18 hours to break down the mucilage. The coffee is fully washed and density graded in water channels. The it issun-dried. The coffee is raked and turned often on patios to ensure it dries consistently. The coffee is dried to make sure it is below a 12% moisture content. This means the coffee is then perfect for us to roast.
Grown in San Marcos (a region in Honduras) this coffee is SHG which means ‘Strictly High Grown” grown at 1350 to 1500 MSA giving it its lovely flavour. This is easily done as Honduras has a lot of mountains.
We get this coffee through the IAC (inter-america Coffee) along with many other of our coffees. Find out more about them HERE.
If you love this coffee and want to try something similar then we would recommend our Noir Blend or our El Salvador Coffee!
